Job Title: Lead Power BI Developer Experience: 12+ Years (5+ Years in Power BI) Location: Remote Duration: Contract / Full-Time Job Summary We are looking for a Lead Power BI Developer with strong expertise in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Modeling, and Microsoft Power BI. The candidate will lead BI initiatives, design enterprise-level dashboards, mentor development teams, and work closely with business stakeholders to deliver scalable reporting and analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise Power BI solutions.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Architect and optimize Power BI datasets, semantic models, and reporting solutions.
  • Develop complex DAX measures, KPIs, calculated columns, and advanced analytics.
  • Design Star Schema and Snowflake Schema data models for reporting.
  • Implement Row-Level Security (RLS), Object-Level Security (OLS), and governance standards.
  • Optimize report performance, dataset refreshes, and query execution.
  • Integrate Power BI with SQL Server, Azure, APIs, SharePoint, Excel, and cloud platforms.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and business teams.
  • Lead code reviews, establish BI best practices, and mentor junior developers.
  • Manage Power BI Service administration, workspaces, gateways, deployment pipelines, and security.
  • Support executive leadership with strategic reporting and analytics initiatives.

Required Skills

  • 12+ years of BI/Data Analytics experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
  • Expert-level DAX and Power Query (M Language).
  • Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills.
  • Data Modeling, Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT concepts.
  • Power BI Service Administration.
  • Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics.
  • SSIS, SSRS, SSAS.
  • Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate).
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and leadership skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Certified: PL-300 Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Fabric, or Synapse.
  • Knowledge of Python or R for advanced analytics.
  • Experience leading offshore/onshore teams.
