Join arenaflex: Where Your Attention to Detail Powers Healthier Lives

At arenaflex, we believe that every piece of data tells a story — and in the world of healthcare, that story can quite literally save lives. As one of the nation's most dynamic and forward-thinking health care organizations, arenaflex serves millions of people with an unwavering commitment to making quality healthcare more accessible, affordable, and personalized. Whether we're processing insurance claims, managing member records, or ensuring that sensitive health information flows seamlessly across our systems, our work touches the lives of real people every single day.

We are now looking for motivated, detail-driven individuals to join our growing team as Entry-Level Data Entry Specialists in a fully remote, full-time capacity. If you take pride in accuracy, thrive in organized environments, and want to build a meaningful career in the healthcare sector — this is your moment. At arenaflex, we don't just process data. We empower people. And we'd love for you to be part of that mission.

About the Role

As a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you will become a vital part of our information management ecosystem. This is an entry-level, full-time, fully remote position designed for individuals who are just beginning their professional careers or are looking to pivot into the healthcare technology space. You will be responsible for entering, updating, verifying, and maintaining critical data across a variety of databases and information systems that support our members, providers, and operations teams. Your work ensures that the information our members and partners rely on is accurate, up-to-date, and fully compliant with industry regulations.

This role offers a structured, supportive environment where you'll receive training, mentorship, and the tools you need to succeed. You'll work alongside experienced professionals who value collaboration, continuous learning, and a healthy work-life balance — all from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

In your day-to-day role as a Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you can expect to:

  • Input and maintain accurate data into various databases, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and internal management platforms used across arenaflex operations.
  • Verify incoming data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established data entry standards and healthcare regulations.
  • Perform regular data quality checks to identify inconsistencies, errors, or formatting issues and take corrective action promptly.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies by cross-referencing source documents, communicating with internal stakeholders, and updating records accordingly.
  • Adhere strictly to data entry policies and procedures, including confidentiality protocols (such as HIPAA compliance), data security practices, and organizational documentation standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and cross-functional departments — including operations, quality assurance, and IT — to ensure smooth data workflows and achieve departmental objectives.
  • Organize and prioritize incoming data workloads to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and quality improvement initiatives to stay current on best practices and contribute to process enhancements.
  • Generate and submit routine reports on data entry volume, accuracy rates, and identified issues to team supervisors.
  • Adapt to new software, tools, and system updates as arenaflex continues to evolve its technology infrastructure to better serve members.

Essential Qualifications & Requirements

We're looking for candidates who meet the following baseline requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED accepted). An associate degree or enrollment in a relevant undergraduate program is considered a plus.
  • 0–2 years of professional experience in data entry, administrative support, or a related role. Entry-level candidates with strong academic records or relevant coursework are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, with particular strength in Microsoft Excel — including navigating spreadsheets, using basic formulas (such as VLOOKUP, SUMIF), and managing large data tables.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a demonstrated ability to maintain high accuracy rates even when processing large volumes of information.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to work independently in a fully remote setting, as well as collaborate effectively as part of a distributed team through digital communication tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact professionally with team members, supervisors, and cross-functional partners.
  • Reliable internet access and a dedicated, distraction-free home workspace suitable for full-time remote employment.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check and comply with healthcare data confidentiality standards, including HIPAA awareness and adherence.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

While not required, the following experiences and skills will help candidates stand out:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare, insurance, or medical data environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems, claims processing software, or healthcare management platforms.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare data privacy standards.
  • Experience using data quality tools, CRM platforms, or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Basic familiarity with database query languages such as SQL (even at a foundational level).
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in progress or completed in Health Information Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Typing speed of 45+ words per minute with high accuracy.
  • Experience working in a fully remote or hybrid work environment.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

Beyond technical qualifications, successful arenaflex Data Entry Specialists demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Precision and Accuracy: A natural inclination toward meticulousness — double-checking work, spotting patterns, and catching errors before they become problems.
  • Self-Motivation: The ability to stay focused, productive, and energized without constant in-person supervision — a key trait for remote work success.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to learn new systems, adjust to changing priorities, and embrace process improvements as the organization evolves.
  • Problem-Solving Mindset: When discrepancies or data issues arise, the ability to think critically, investigate root causes, and propose or implement solutions.
  • Integrity and Discretion: A commitment to protecting sensitive member information and upholding the highest standards of data privacy and ethics.
  • Team Orientation: Even in a remote setting, a collaborative spirit — sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a positive team culture.

Working Hours & Remote Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, typically aligned with core business hours (e.g., Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with some flexibility based on team needs). Because this role is 100% remote, you will have the convenience and autonomy of working from home — but we also provide structured check-ins, team collaboration sessions, and virtual events to keep you connected to the broader arenaflex community.

To be successful in this role, you should have a reliable high-speed internet connection, a dedicated workspace free from major distractions, and a commitment to maintaining professional availability during scheduled hours. arenaflex provides all necessary equipment and software licenses to ensure you have what you need to perform at your best.
