[Remote] Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Olsson is an engineering and design firm that focuses on improving the world through innovative solutions. They are seeking an experienced Mergers & Acquisitions Analyst to evaluate, execute, and integrate M&A opportunities, working closely with senior leadership and technical teams to support strategic growth initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including DCF, LBO, accretion/dilution and merger consequences analyses
- Conduct target screening, industry research, and valuation benchmarking to support pipeline development
- Lead financial due diligence workstreams; quality of earnings review, working capital analysis, normalization adjustments and synergy quantification
- Create and monitor business performance metrics of deals, including key performance indicator tracking, profitability analysis and trend analysis
- Support post-close integration tracking – synergy realization, purchase accounting and performance vs. deal thesis
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics or a related field required
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in mergers and acquisitions, investment banking, corporate finance or related field
- Experience with financial modeling, valuation, and analytical problem-solving
- Demonstrated quantitative and analytical mindset
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments while managing competing priorities
- Strong collaboration skills and team-oriented mindset
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to contribute and work well on a team
