Confidential company is a growing U.S.-based precision manufacturing company seeking a Key Account Manager to lead commercial growth initiatives for its industrial machining business. The role involves developing customer growth strategies, expanding strategic accounts, and serving as the primary commercial representative for key customers throughout North America.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans for key customer accounts and targeted markets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with purchasing, engineering, operations, and executive-level customer contacts
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and prospective accounts
  • Lead customer meetings, business reviews, and commercial discussions to support long-term partnerships
  • Review customer requirements, drawings, and RFQs while coordinating with internal engineering and operations teams to develop competitive solutions
  • Partner with manufacturing leadership to align customer expectations with operational capabilities
  • Manage the commercial aspects of quoting, pricing, negotiations, and contract discussions
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts of business opportunities
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to support business growth initiatives
  • Represent the company at customer locations, industry events, and trade shows as needed

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in industrial sales, business development, key account management, or commercial leadership
  • Experience supporting CNC machining, precision machining, contract manufacturing, metalworking, or industrial manufacturing environments
  • Proven ability to develop strategic customer relationships and grow revenue
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, customer requirements, and commercial negotiations
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications, manufacturing drawings, and customer requirements is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Experience using CRM and ERP systems to manage opportunities and customer accounts
