[Remote] Technical Product Manager
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Independence Pet Holdings is a company focused on transforming pet insurance technology. As a Technical Product Manager, you will lead product initiatives from concept through launch, collaborating with various teams to create customer-centric solutions that enhance user experiences and improve outcomes for veterinary teams and pet parents.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Director of Product to execute product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of features and enhancements
- Conduct user research, gather customer feedback, and analyze market trends to inform product decisions and identify opportunities
- Translate business needs into clear product requirements for design and engineering teams
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog, balancing short-term deliverables with long-term strategic objectives
- Partner closely with engineering, UI design, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure smooth product development and successful launches
- Support testing, QA, and post-launch analysis to ensure product quality and performance meet expectations
- Assist in preparing product documentation, training materials, and internal communications to enable effective product launches
Skills
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, insurance technology, or related digital platforms
- 5+ years professional experience
- Previous experience launching new commercial products or features
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work and negotiate effectively across teams
- Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., ADO, Jira, Aha!)
- Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform decisions
- Technical aptitude required—this role will be working with engineers daily
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment with shifting priorities
- Must meet one of the following education requirements: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience (One-year relevant experience is equivalent to one-year college), Associate's Degree in a Technical Field, Certification in relevant focus area
- Experience in the insurance industry (P&C, life, health, or embedded insurance)
- Pet health or pet insurance experience is a plus
- Familiarity with APIs, digital transformation initiatives, or InsurTech platforms
