[Remote] Director/Sr. Dir, Global Marketing

Fortvita Biologics is a San Francisco Bay Area–based biopharmaceutical company advancing next-generation biologics aimed at addressing critical health needs. They are seeking a highly strategic Director/Senior Director of Global Marketing to lead global commercial marketing strategy for oncology and general medicine assets, focusing on building marketing capabilities and supporting launch readiness in priority international markets.
Responsibilities
- Lead development of global commercial and brand strategies for oncology and general medicine assets across ex-China markets
- Build integrated customer strategies for physicians, institutions, and key healthcare stakeholders
- Support launch sequencing and commercialization planning for priority pipeline assets
- Develop differentiated positioning strategies based on unmet need, competitive dynamics, and clinical profile
- Partner with Commercial Strategy & Analytics to align brand assumptions with forecasting and business planning
- Lead commercial launch readiness planning for priority programs
- Develop launch roadmaps, customer engagement plans, and commercialization milestones
- Partner cross-functionally to establish launch preparedness across priority geographies
- Support go-to-market planning for Europe and other priority markets
- Develop launch KPI frameworks and commercial readiness metrics
- Support identification and prioritization of key opinion leaders (KOLs), advocacy organizations, and scientific influencers
- Partner with Medical Affairs to support advisory board strategy and scientific engagement activities
- Develop congress strategies and commercial engagement plans for major meetings including: ASCO, ESMO, AACR, WCLC, Specialty congresses relevant to pipeline priorities
- Develop customer segmentation and market understanding frameworks
- Assess customer needs, treatment paradigms, and market dynamics
- Monitor competitive positioning, promotional strategies, and market trends
- Translate insights into actionable commercialization recommendations
- Support development of executive-level presentations and Board-ready commercial recommendations
- Contribute to commercialization decision-making, investment prioritization, and launch sequencing discussions
- Support Joint Commercial Committee (JCC) and strategic partnership activities as needed
- Manage commercial agencies and external partners supporting: Market research, Brand strategy, Launch readiness, Creative development, Customer insights
- Ensure lean, efficient use of external resources consistent with a high-growth biotech environment
- Partner closely with: Global Market Access, Global Commercial Strategy & Analytics, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Business Development, Alliance Management, Finance to ensure aligned commercialization planning and launch execution
- Other duties as assigned

Skills
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or related discipline)
- 8+ years of experience (Director) or 10+ years (Senior Director) in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing
- Strong oncology and/or specialty therapeutics experience
- Experience supporting launch planning and commercialization strategy
- Demonstrated success in brand strategy, customer engagement, and commercial planning
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a highly matrixed environment
- Global or regional commercial marketing experience
- Oncology launch experience strongly preferred
- Experience in pre-commercial or emerging biotech environments
- Experience supporting international or European commercialization
- Experience in biologics, immunology, oncology, or specialty therapeutics
