We're partnering with our client to find a dedicated Digital Accessibility Contractor to support their remote team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on accessibility initiatives within the higher education sector, contributing to digital inclusivity and compliance. Position details are outlined below. *Digital Accessibility Contractor Responsibilities:* * Develop practical frameworks such as checklists, matrices, and decision trees to streamline accessibility efforts across teams.

  • Transform vague accessibility challenges into clear proposals, recommending actionable steps for resolution.
  • Create and promote standards for faculty and staff to ensure consistent digital accessibility practices.
  • Lead training sessions and educational efforts to enhance stakeholder understanding of accessibility standards.
  • Provide ongoing support through office hours, assist stakeholders with accessibility issues, and ensure materials meet standards.

*Digital Accessibility Contractor Qualifications:* * Extensive experience in digital accessibility, including proficiency in VPAT analysis and interpretation.

  • Skilled in identifying and diagnosing accessibility issues, with practical experience in testing and assessments.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver training sessions and support stakeholders through educational initiatives.
  • Hands-on expertise in large-scale PDF and document remediation strategies and implementations.
  • Ability to evaluate, select, and recommend tools supporting document remediation workflows effectively.
