[Remote] Team Lead - Real Time Analyst

They are seeking an experienced RTA Team Lead to lead and mentor a team of Real-Time Analysts, ensuring efficient monitoring of betting activity and risk management within the sportsbook operation.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse wagers in real time, identifying pricing inefficiencies, unprofitable customer wagering trends, and other issues as they arise
- Identify and escalate sportsbook margin leaks, including incorrectly correlated Same Game Parlays (SGPs), past-post issues, and pricing discrepancies
- Analyse player betting patterns and risk exposure using advanced sportsbook analytics tools
- Maintain high-quality bet notation and stay current with relevant betting angles and market trends across multiple sports
- Perform competitor analysis and contribute to the development of new trading strategies in collaboration with senior team members
- Lead, coach, and supervise a team of Real-Time Analysts, fostering high performance and a culture of continuous improvement
- Conduct regular 1-2-1s with direct reports, ensuring individual KPIs and team objectives are being met
- Support the onboarding of new RTAs and drive ongoing development plans and upskilling across the team
- Lead by example. Presenting new ideas while maintaining the highest standards across current processes and daily performance
- Work hand-in-hand with Trading, Player Optimisation, and Senior Management to align on risk management and customer segmentation strategies
- Handle queries from internal and external contacts, acting as a key point of contact on shift
- Collaborate effectively across teams in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment
Skills
- Extensive experience working within a sportsbook or sports betting trading team
- Previous experience as a Senior Trader or Trading Analyst is a must
- A deep understanding of pricing methodology, in-play variables, and customer betting behaviour
- Experience with US sports is highly desirable
- Previous supervisory, coaching, or mentoring experience
- Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to make confident, data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage senior managers and directors when required
- Intellectually curious, always seeking better ways of working and embracing innovative tools and approaches
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while remaining collaborative and responsive to the wider team
- Flexibility to work weekends and outside standard hours in line with the 24/7 nature of global sporting events
- Proficiency with analytics and visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Amplitude is advantageous
