[Remote] Director, Business Development - Central U.S.

They are seeking a Director of Business Development for the Central U.S. to leverage expertise in packaging and sales to build relationships and exceed sales targets.

Responsibilities

  • Lead growth by driving sales and increasing profitability through digitally produced graphic packaging solutions
  • Manage key accounts while developing new business opportunities to drive strategic growth in the field
  • Identify and capitalize on strategic sales opportunities by collaborating with Sales teams
  • Work with Sales and locations to develop strategies that target specific end-user segments (e.g., E-Commerce)
  • Build and nurture relationships with customers, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs) and successful project execution
  • Prospect and acquire new business while maintaining ongoing relationships with existing clients to achieve sales goals
  • Coordinate RFQs and other requests associated with strategic accounts
  • Drive sales of all products and services at profitable levels
  • Understand and articulate the full range of products and services to customers
  • Utilize CRM systems effectively and maintain accurate reports and documentation
  • Foster key relationships in critical accounts, in collaboration with senior leadership
  • Identify and execute strategies for key account retention and growth
  • Support product and service education/training for the sales team
  • Provide technical sales support and work with suppliers to meet client needs
  • Develop and lead sales strategies to increase product sales and profitability across multiple categories and service platforms

Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in sales with a strong background in packaging
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
  • Proven success in printing/packaging sales
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
  • Expertise in digital printing, sheet plant operations, or packaging distribution
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and a track record of exceeding sales targets
  • Experience in cold calling and prospecting new clients
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
