[Remote] google cloud engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Ark Infotech LLC is seeking a Senior Google Cloud Architect for a full-time remote role. The position involves migrating applications to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), acting as a subject matter expert, designing GCP solutions, and overseeing integration with existing systems.
Responsibilities
- You will be part of a team charged with migrating entire applications from an on-prem to a GCP environment
- There may be some "life and shift" migrations and some may involve significant redesign to take advantage of cloud features
- You will function as a lead and a SME on migrations to GCP
Skills
- Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect
- 10+ years in cloud operations and migrations
- At least 6 years in migrations to GCP
- Strong experience migrating to GCP from on-prem and from other cloud providers
- Proven expertise in Cloud Architecture and developing scalable and secure GCP solutions
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure and Integration, including cloud-based and on-premises systems
- Deep understanding of Cloud Architecture and ability to design enterprise-level frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Proven expertise in Cloud Architecture and developing scalable and secure GCP solutions using tools/techniques like Migration Center, Migrate to Virtual Machines (or Migrate for Compute Engine), Google Compute Engine (GCE), Database Migration Service (DMS), Storage Transfer Service / Transfer Appliance, Cloud Interconnect, Shared VPC, Cloud NAT & Cloud Router, Terraform / Google Cloud Provider, Deployment Manager, GitOps / Anthos Config Management, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) / Enterprise GKE, Compute Engine (GCE) Sole-Tenant Nodes, Cloud Run, Anthos / Google Distributed Cloud
- Other GCP certifications and prior experience in the consulting domain are a plus
