Position Overview

The Remote Part‑Time Data Entry & IT Support Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring that arenaflex crew members receive prompt, professional, and courteous assistance for both hardware and software issues. This position is home‑based, with a primary focus on data entry, ticketing, and first‑line technical support for arenaflex’s internal tools, mobile devices, and communication platforms. The role is part‑time, offering a competitive rate of $30 per hour, and is ideal for candidates who enjoy solving problems, maintaining meticulous records, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide tier‑1 and tier‑2 assistance for all arenaflex equipment and applications, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, and proprietary crew‑management software.
  • Customer Care: Deliver outstanding on‑site (when required) and remote support to arenaflex crew members, ensuring a seamless experience across all touchpoints.
  • Incident Management: Log, track, and prioritize support tickets from creation to resolution, coordinating with internal and external resources to meet service‑level agreements (SLAs).
  • System Monitoring: Conduct routine health checks on devices, network connections, and software configurations, escalating critical issues as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge‑base articles, troubleshooting guides, and standard operating procedures in line with arenaflex policies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the broader IT team—including infrastructure, security, and application development groups—to support system rollouts, patches, and upgrades.
  • Data Entry & Reporting: Accurately input, verify, and audit crew‑related data, ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal reporting requirements.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in incident response activities for major outages, blackouts, or security events, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
  • Travel Coordination: Although the role is remote, occasional travel to Montego Bay, Jamaica, and short visits to Kingston, Jamaica, may be required for team meetings or on‑site training.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks assigned by management that support the overall success of arenaflex’s IT and crew operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting modern operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) or completion of an IT Fundamentals certification (e.g., Coursera IT for Everyone).
  • Hands‑on experience installing, configuring, and supporting applications on desktop and mobile platforms.
  • Ability to travel short‑term (up to ½ week) within Jamaica and the United States, with a valid passport and the ability to obtain a U.S. visa if required.
  • Proficiency with workplace collaboration suites (e.g., Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
  • Legal authorization to work in the country of residence; arenaflex does not provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills
