About arenaflex – Pioneering Healthcare Data Solutions

arenaflex is a leading healthcare analytics firm dedicated to transforming raw health data into actionable insights that drive better outcomes for providers, payers, and patients alike. With a mission to empower the healthcare ecosystem through innovative data platforms, arenaflex combines deep industry expertise, cutting‑edge technology, and a collaborative culture to deliver solutions that matter. Our flagship proprietary platform aggregates, normalizes, and visualizes complex health‑related datasets, enabling clients to interpret trends, assess risk, and make informed decisions that improve care quality and cost efficiency.

Why This Role Matters

As a Healthcare Data Entry Associate on the Integration Analytics team, you will be at the heart of arenaflex’s data pipeline. Your meticulous work will ensure that vendor‑supplied data is accurately transformed, validated, and loaded into our platform, forming the foundation for the analytics that our clients rely on. This is a remote‑first position based in Pennsylvania, offering you the flexibility to work from home while staying connected to a vibrant, purpose‑driven team.

Role Overview

In this role, you will collaborate closely with data engineers, analysts, and client success managers to execute the end‑to‑end integration of health‑related data sources. You will be responsible for building and maintaining account structures, profiling data files, resolving data quality issues, and ensuring that every data element aligns with arenaflex’s rigorous standards. Your contributions will directly impact the reliability of the insights delivered to our healthcare partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Ingestion & Validation: Load vendor data files into the arenaflex platform, perform initial profiling, and flag any anomalies or rule violations.
  • Account Structure Management: Build, configure, and maintain account hierarchies that reflect client organization, benefit plans, and reporting needs.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Conduct detailed data profiling, identify inconsistencies, and work with source teams to resolve issues promptly.
  • Rule‑Based Adjustments: Apply and fine‑tune flagging rules, adjust data transformations based on feedback, and document changes for auditability.
  • Source Review & Dashboard Verification: Verify that source data appears correctly in dashboards, ensuring visualizations match underlying records.
  • Benefits Coverage Breakdown: Decompose insurance plan details—including copays, deductibles, and coverage limits—into structured data elements for downstream analytics.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Liaise with vendors, internal stakeholders, and client teams to clarify data definitions, resolve discrepancies, and provide status updates.
  • Documentation & Process Improvement: Maintain clear documentation of integration workflows, data mapping, and quality control procedures; suggest enhancements to streamline future integrations.

Essential Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Health Information Systems, Economics, Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced Excel skills, including V‑LOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, PivotTables, and complex formula creation.
  • Residency Requirement: Must reside in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, with a preference for candidates located in or near Pittsburgh.
  • Analytical Mindset: Ability to scrutinize large datasets, detect patterns, and pinpoint data quality concerns.
  • Detail Orientation: Commitment to precision and accuracy in data handling, documentation, and reporting.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Experience working with medical claims, pharmacy (Rx) claims, enrollment data, or other health‑benefit datasets.
  • Familiarity with ETL concepts, data transformation tools, or basic SQL querying.
  • Demonstrated involvement in extracurricular activities, volunteer work, or professional organizations that showcase teamwork and leadership.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear business language.

Core Skills & Competencies for Success

  • Problem‑Solving: Proactively identify root causes of data issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Time Management: Prioritize multiple integration tasks while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively across cross‑functional teams, respecting diverse perspectives.
  • Adaptability: Thrive in a fast‑changing environment where new data sources and client requirements emerge regularly.
  • Ethical Stewardship: Handle sensitive health information with the utmost confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other regulations.

  • Structured mentorship from senior data engineers and analytics leads.
  • Internal training modules covering advanced Excel techniques, SQL basics, and data governance best practices.
  • Opportunities to transition into data analyst, ETL developer, or client implementation roles as you gain experience.
  • Attendance at industry conferences, webinars, and workshops focused on health informatics and data analytics.
  • Support for certifications such as Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) or Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate.
