Join a team of Systems Engineers turned Cloud Engineers, as we continue our journey migrating legacy on-premise applications and infrastructure into AWS. This role will play a critical role in supporting both our existing datacenter operations and our evolving cloud environment. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, implement, and optimize solutions that bridge traditional systems engineering with modern cloud practices. What you'll be doing

• Lead and support the migration of on-premise infrastructure and applications to AWS
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize existing on-premise systems, including virtualization, storage, networking, and firewalls
• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation tools
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support application deployment and infrastructure changes
• Ensure security best practices are applied to both on-premise and cloud environments
• Collaborate with application teams, shared services, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response for critical systems
• Document processes, architectures, and configurations for both legacy and cloud environments

What we need

• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering and/or cloud engineering roles
• Hands-on experience with on-premise datacenter technologies: virtualization (Hyper-V preferred, but open to VMware), storage (SAN/NAS), networking (routing, switching), and firewalls
• Strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation, etc.)
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools, such as Terraform
• Experience with CI/CD tools
• Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, load balancing)
• Familiarity with Windows administration in both on-premise and cloud environments
• Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills
