Why This Role Matters

Data is the lifeblood of every modern organization. At arenaflex, we recognize that accurate, timely, and well‑organized data fuels strategic decision‑making, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance. As a Remote Data Entry Clerk, you will be a critical member of a dedicated team that transforms raw information—such as plant maps, transcripts, and customer records—into clean, actionable data that drives business success. This contract position offers immediate impact, a clear pathway to longer‑term engagement, and the flexibility to work from anywhere within the United States.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enter high‑volume data from a variety of sources—including plant schematics, transcripts, and customer communications—into arenaflex’s proprietary data management platforms with a focus on accuracy and speed.
  • Interpret and decipher complex plant maps, identifying relevant data points and ensuring that only pertinent information is captured.
  • Perform quality‑control checks on entered data, cross‑referencing against source documents to detect and correct inconsistencies.
  • Collaborate closely with supervisors, managers, and client‑facing teams to clarify data requirements and resolve ambiguities.
  • Maintain meticulous records of work completed, adhering to established naming conventions and filing protocols.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel and other spreadsheet tools to organize, sort, and summarize data for downstream analysis.
  • Provide timely updates to project leads regarding progress, challenges, and any required escalations.
  • Uphold data security and confidentiality standards in accordance with arenaflex’s policies and applicable regulations.
  • Engage with customers via email or chat to gather supplemental information when needed, ensuring a seamless data collection process.
  • Participate in periodic training sessions to stay current on new data entry technologies, best practices, and industry standards.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; additional coursework in business administration, information systems, or related fields is a plus.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of hands‑on data entry experience in a fast‑paced environment, preferably within the IT, manufacturing, or logistics sectors.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data validation techniques.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret visual data (e.g., plant maps) and translate it into structured digital formats.
  • Excellent written communication skills; ability to follow detailed instructions and adhere to pre‑established guidelines.
  • Reliable high‑speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace that meets arenaflex’s remote‑work standards.
  • U.S. work authorization and residence within the United States; candidates must be able to work legally without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • Experience with data‑entry software such as SAP, Oracle, or custom arenaflex platforms.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and best practices for handling sensitive information.
  • Prior exposure to plant engineering documentation or technical schematics.
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while maintaining high productivity.
  • Strong time‑management skills and the capacity to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  • Customer‑service orientation with a courteous and professional demeanor when interacting with external stakeholders.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on data accuracy, ensuring that every entry aligns perfectly with source material.
  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to break down complex visual information and extract relevant data points.
  • Technical Proficiency: Comfort navigating spreadsheets, data‑entry interfaces, and basic database tools.
  • Communication: Clear, concise written communication for documenting processes and interacting with customers.
  • Reliability: Consistent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to evolving project scopes, new software tools, and shifting priorities.
