Our mission is to create sustainable value for our customers, partners, and communities while fostering a culture of collaboration, curiosity, and continuous improvement. As we expand our digital footprint, we are looking for a visionary demand planning professional to join our remote team and help shape the future of supply chain excellence.

Why This Role Matters

The Senior Manager, Demand Planning will be the strategic anchor for the Americas Business Unit (BU), overseeing the end‑to‑end demand planning process for a diverse portfolio that includes espresso machines, consumables, and related accessories. This role is pivotal in translating market intelligence into accurate forecasts, aligning supply with demand, and driving cost‑effective inventory strategies across the entire distribution network. By partnering with cross‑functional teams—including sales, marketing, finance, and operations—you will ensure that arenaflex continues to deliver products on time, in the right quantities, and at the right cost.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) process for the Americas BU, coordinating a multi‑disciplinary team of analysts, planners, and business partners.
  • Develop, validate, and maintain long‑range demand forecasts in Anaplan, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market realities.
  • Execute short‑term (weekly, monthly) demand planning cycles in SAP/Anaplan, meeting all cut‑off deadlines with a focus on forecast accuracy and bias reduction.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Commercial teams to incorporate promotional plans, new product introductions (NPD), and discontinuations into the demand plan.
  • Identify and quantify demand risks—such as supply constraints, excess inventory, or product obsolescence—and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing forecast performance, implementing best‑practice methodologies, and leveraging advanced analytics tools.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for demand‑related queries from internal stakeholders, providing clear, data‑backed insights and recommendations.
  • Maintain master data integrity in Anaplan, ensuring that all assumptions, parameters, and scenario inputs are up‑to‑date and auditable.
  • Partner with the Finance team to align demand plans with the Annual Business Plan (ABP) and Long‑Range Planning (LRP) processes.
  • Mentor and develop junior planners, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing, accountability, and professional growth.

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands‑on demand planning experience within the FMCG or retail environment.
  • Proven expertise with demand planning tools such as Anaplan, SAP APO, or equivalent platforms.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated success in leading S&OP cycles, including forecast creation, consensus building, and executive presentations.
  • Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—with the ability to influence senior leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or Tableau is a plus.
  • Self‑starter attitude, high degree of autonomy, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote work environment while maintaining strong collaboration across geographically dispersed teams.

Preferred Qualifications & Additional Skills

  • Master’s degree or MBA with a focus on supply chain, analytics, or operations.
  • Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) demand planning for beverage or food categories.
  • Familiarity with statistical forecasting methods (ARIMA, exponential smoothing, machine‑learning models).
  • Certification in APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent supply chain credentials.
  • Track record of implementing process automation or digital transformation initiatives within the planning function.
  • Fluency in a second language (Spanish or Portuguese) is advantageous given the Americas focus.

Core Competencies for Success

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, anticipate market shifts, and align demand plans with long‑term business goals.
  • Collaboration: Skilled at building relationships across functions, fostering trust, and driving consensus.
  • Data‑Driven Decision Making: Comfortable working with large data sets, performing root‑cause analysis, and presenting findings clearly.
  • Change Management: Experience guiding teams through new processes, tools, or organizational shifts.
  • Customer‑Centric Mindset: Understanding of how demand planning impacts the end‑consumer experience and brand reputation.
