Remote Financial Controller

Our client is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join their fully remote finance team. This role is essential for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and providing strategic financial guidance to support the company's growth within the
Banking & Finance
sector. As a remote employee, you will manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls from your home office, collaborating effectively with teams across different locations. We seek a detail-oriented, proactive, and technically proficient finance professional who can thrive in a dynamic, remote work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and compliance. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Develop and manage the annual budget and financial forecasting processes. Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy. Analyze financial data, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Manage relationships with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audits. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and reporting requirements. Implement and improve accounting systems and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A CPA or CMA is required. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management, preferably within the financial services industry. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP) and advanced Excel skills. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Proven ability to manage accounting functions remotely and work independently with minimal supervision. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
