[Remote] Business Development Associate
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. SOP Advisors is a company focused on building connections with family office executives and high-net-worth individuals. They are seeking a Business Development Associate to engage with a warm audience through personalized outreach and maintain a structured reporting system.
Responsibilities
- Send targeted LinkedIn connection requests every week to family office executives, independent RIAs, and high-net-worth individuals from commodity-adjacent industries
- Write and send personalized follow-up DMs
- Run the structured post-webinar email follow-up sequence for attendees — tracking opens, replies, and conversions
- Reach out to referral sources including CPAs, estate attorneys, and past podcast guests
- Maintain a clean pipeline tracker in Google Sheets and send a Friday report: connections sent, replies received, calls booked
- Pre-qualify inbound interest before it reaches our principals
Skills
- You have done outbound before. LinkedIn outreach, cold email, appointment setting — you know the workflow and you have results you can point to
- You write well. Short, specific, personalized. You know the difference between a message that gets read and one that gets ignored
- You are curious about markets. You do not need to be a commodity expert. But you follow what is happening in gold, oil, or agriculture and you find it genuinely interesting. That curiosity comes through in conversations
- You work independently. This is remote and part-time. You set your schedule, you manage your pipeline, and you report on numbers — not activity
- You want to grow. This role starts part-time. It gets bigger as you deliver
- Familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and any outreach tool — Expandi, Dripify, WeConnect, or similar — is a strong plus
- Experience in financial services or investment is an even stronger plus
