[Remote] Advanced Network Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Serco is excited to support the Air Force Modeling and Simulation Support Services (AFMS3) contract. The primary purpose of this contract is to ensure that the Department of the Air Force, Department of Defense, and External Partner Agencies maintain cutting-edge Modeling and Simulation capabilities. The Advanced Network Engineer will be responsible for overall system design, documentation of development requirements, and consultation with end users to ensure applications meet client needs.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall system design
- Documents development requirements for database, applications, and operation system environment
- Consults with end users to test and debug applications to meet client needs
- Serves as expertise in all aspects of designing and application development
- May conduct training to IT Staff
- Demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Performs a variety of complicated tasks
- May provide consultation on complex projects and is considered to be the top level contributor/specialist
- Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department
Skills
- U.S. citizenship
- Must have an active U.S. Department of War (DoW) Secret security clearance
- The possibility to telecommute (Full-time)
- A Bachelor's degree (or additional years of relevant experience in technical, engineering, cybersecurity, or program management fields in lieu of degree)
- 8 years of experience
- The ability to travel 10%

- Prior experience supporting AFMS, or other DoD M&S programs is strongly desired
