[Remote] Network Engineer - Multi-Cloud Connectivity Architecture
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Dice is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer specializing in Multi-Cloud Connectivity Architecture to design, implement, and manage their next-generation global network infrastructure. The role focuses on engineering secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity patterns that link on-premises data centers and diverse cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement multi-cloud network architectures utilizing cloud-native constructs (e.g., AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Google Cloud Platform VPC Network Peering)
- Architect and manage high-throughput hybrid connectivity solutions, including AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect
- Develop standard deployment patterns for multi-region and multi-cloud traffic routing, ensuring minimal latency and maximum redundancy
- Drive a Network as Code philosophy by automating the provisioning of cloud networks using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation
- Integrate network deployment pipelines into existing CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
- Manage complex routing environments using advanced BGP configurations (AS-Path prepending, communities, MED) for predictable traffic engineering across multiple clouds
- Implement robust cloud security boundaries using Cloud Firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) virtual appliances (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) deployed in the cloud
- Deploy and maintain secure overlay networks using SD-WAN, IPsec VPNs, and WireGuard
- Establish comprehensive visibility into multi-cloud environments using network observability tools (e.g., Datadog, ThousandEyes, AWS VPC Flow Logs, Azure Network Watcher)
- Act as the Tier-3 escalation point for complex network outages, routing loops, and performance degradation across hybrid paths

- 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure networking
- 3+ years dedicated to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud network engineering
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
