[Remote] Marketing Strategist
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Bitfocus is a company dedicated to building technology and services that help communities end homelessness. They are seeking a Marketing Strategist to own their integrated marketing program, focusing on campaign planning, content development, and external event strategy to ensure coherent messaging across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Campaign strategy and execution: You'll facilitate the Functional Growth Committee to plan and execute Bitfocus's annual campaign roadmap, each quarter defined by its own messaging brief, target audience, channel mix, and success metrics
- Content library ownership: You'll build and maintain the canonical content library that serves as the definitive source of messaging, positioning, and audience framing across Business Development, Customer Success, Product, and Communications. You'll version assets as messaging evolves, retire outdated content, and track adoption to reduce one-off content requests
- Asset production and vendor management: You'll produce and commission the core asset suite for each campaign including case studies, playbooks, deep-dive guides, demo narratives, product explainers, writing and editing directly or managing external consultants. You'll scope, brief, and quality-review all vendor deliverables and hold them to timeline, budget, and brand standards
- Account-based and competitive marketing: You'll own the competitor displacement program, design and execute regional and geotargeted campaigns targeting priority communities, and build RFP influence content in close coordination with Business Development
- External event strategy: You'll define the creative concept, engagement strategy, and pre/on-site/post-event communications for events like NHSDC, NAEH, and HUD convenings. You'll manage vendors, equip the cross-functional event team with shared talking points, own lead handoff to Business Development, and deliver event ROI reporting within 30 days
- Paid media and marketing operations: You'll manage paid media programs including keyword strategy, audience targeting, and budget pacing. You'll advance marketing automation in HubSpot, list segmentation, nurture sequences, lead scoring, and campaign attribution, in partnership with the HubSpot CRM Admin and cross-functional leaders
- Reporting and pipeline contribution: You'll define marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced pipeline metrics with Business Development and Customer Success, and report monthly on campaign performance, paid media efficiency, and pipeline contribution. You'll identify when campaigns or channels are underperforming and flag it before it compounds
- Sector awareness and strategic timing: You'll stay current on the HMIS landscape, HUD funding cycles, and federal data standards changes so that campaign timing and messaging reflect the realities Bitfocus buyers actually operate in
