[Remote] Grant Writer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. ProjectArt is a national arts education non-profit that empowers youth, artists, and their communities through free visual arts classes and artist residencies. The Grant Writer will be responsible for gathering documentation and fulfilling requirements to seek funding, collaborating with staff to produce competitive proposals and reports.
Responsibilities
- Understand ProjectArt's history, structure, objectives, programs, and financial needs in order to write successful proposals and reports
- Draft grant proposals and supporting documents based on the funding requirements of federal programs and foundations
- Submit proposals to ProjectArt staff for review and make necessary edits
- Maintain records and submit reports related to grant awards
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in English, communications, business administration or a related area
- A minimum of two years experience in grant writing with proof of awards
- Outstanding written communication skills and editing skills; ability to write clear, structured, articulate, and persuasive proposals
- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously while meeting respective deadlines
- Excellent knowledge of proposal submission and fundraising processes
- Ability to evaluate, interpret, and present complex information effectively with acute attention to detail
- Master's degree
