About the Role

As a seasonal Lead Quality Assurance Analyst, you'll ensure software and hardware meet business and functional requirements from the customer’s perspective. You’ll validate performance against documentation and design, helping deliver a smooth user experience. In addition, you’ll contribute early in the design cycle by creating use cases, reviewing requirements, and collaborating on UI and workflow improvements. Your work will directly impact product quality, project success, and customer satisfaction. Day to day, you’ll… Write comprehensive test plans, cases, use cases, and strategy documents; create high-quality defect reports and ensure manual test cases are thorough yet efficient Act as a customer advocate, investigate production defects, and collaborate with Technical Support to gather feedback and close the loop on problem resolution Identify, suggest, and drive adoption of product and process improvements throughout the development lifecycle; effectively influence quality on deliverables Develop strong cooperative relationships across development, product management, and technical support; mentor team members and review proposed UI designs Utilize test automation to enhance test thoroughness; execute and manage both manual and automated end-to-end functional tests Write, review, and provide input on requirements, user design documents, and marketing requirements; ensure the product complies with customer needs Construct usability tests with user experience (UX) and participate in and sometimes lead cross-functional testing activities to achieve end-to-end product quality Create and manage work plans for deliverables; document business requirements, end-user workflows, and user-facing content using proprietary templates Engage regularly with peers and management regarding project tasks, ensuring alignment with product marketing/product management for compliance with requirements

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience. Work Experience: Ability to collaborate and solve problems effectively with excellent cross-team collaboration and communication skills Ability to communicate clearly and calmly on the telephone, email, and chat and use effective customer service techniques with associates who may be under stress Demonstrated decision making, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, prioritization, and project coordination skills Detail-oriented and process-driven approach Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization 8 years minimum related work experience Self-sufficient and self-starter mindset with the ability to prioritize work efficiently Some experience or the ability to learn to support Microsoft operating systems, networking connectivity, computer peripheral equipment, software applications, and remote tools, with experience working in a Windows environment Strong research skills Why work for us At H&R Block, our purpose is simple: to provide help and inspire confidence in our clients and communities everywhere. Local minimum wage laws apply. This information is posted pursuant to local requirements to provide applicants with information about what they might be eligible to receive. Individual pay decisions will depend on job-related factors such as experience, education, skill, performance, and geographic location where work will be performed. Successful candidates may be able to participate in one or more incentive compensation or short-term incentive plans, which could generate additional earnings in accordance with the terms of each plan.
