Base Pay Range: $80,580 - $110,000 As an Associate Data Scientist, your essential job functions will include the following: Manage Large Datasets Dive deep into data—utilize programming tools to cleanse large structured and unstructured data sets Apply transformation techniques to move data from its raw form to usable data tables Use SQL and data APIs to interact with data stored in various systems from relational databases to file systems When necessary, apply machine learning or other applicable techniques to enhance usefulness of large data sets Collect and curate data needed for research, especially data that is external to the organization Advanced Modeling and Analysis Iteratively, efficiently and effectively execute assigned projects Develop mathematic models Apply statistical and algorithmic methods such as supervised machine-learning, unsupervised machine-learning, hypothesis testing, regression analysis, forecasting, natural language processing, clustering, classification, survival analysis, simulations and optimizations Ensure deep level of knowledge for assigned data analytics products and process, so that internal partners see you as the “go-to” expert in your assigned areas of responsibility Manage Data Science Products Produce regular reporting and analysis—ensure reporting is timely and accurate Support the design and maintenance of data science tools and reporting related to data science product performance Other Duties as Assigned Position Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or related fields Advanced degree in a quantitative field strongly preferred 1-2 years of experience -OR- an advanced degree Works with a sense of urgency and is able to work independently with minimal supervision Ability to deliver under tight deadlines in rapidly changing business environment Strong intellectual curiosity and desire to learn about/get exposure to many aspects of the business Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, VBA) Advanced proficiency in programming languages for statistics and automation (90% Python, 10% R) Proficient in data-access languages (SQL, PostgreSQL, T-SQL, SOQL) Proficient with version control approaches for product development (Unit testing, Git, documentation, logging, etc.) Familiarity with statistical modeling, supervised and unsupervised machine-learning frameworks (SciPy, Caret, sklearn) is a plus Familiarity with AWS Amazon Web Services (Codecommit, S3, Lambda, EventBridge, SystemsManager, CloudWatch, etc.) is a plus Familiarity with container services is a plus (Rancher, Kubernetes, Docker) Familiarity with OBIEE, Salesforce or Google Analytics platforms is a plus Competencies Required Critical Thinking Agility Initiative Communication Relationship Building Physical Job Requirements Continuous viewing from and inputting to a computer screen Sitting for long periods of time Travel as necessary, Apply To This Job
