Job Description: The Senior Healthcare Data Advisor at Intermountain Healthcare is responsible for leading the development and deployment of data supporting our Clinical Shared Services team. They serve as a Data Steward, coordinating all aspects of data management and usage, and act as the resident data expert for user education and solution enablement. The position emphasizes a strong team collaborative culture with a focus on work-life balance and provides ongoing training, maintenance, monitoring, and promotion of data applications and reports We are committed to offering flexible work options where approved and stated in the job posting. Essential Functions (Senior Healthcare Data Advisor): Deliver customer-focused and scalable data and analytic product solutions. Mentor a highly skilled team with clinical, operational, and technical expertise. Partner with senior analytics leaders to understand, prioritize, and resource stakeholder data needs. Collaborate with Data Platform Architects to develop and maintain data assets. Consult across Enterprise Analytics to ensure impactful usage of data assets. Serve as the domain expert and primary connection point between stakeholder needs, available data, technical processes, and analytic outcomes. Coordinate data capture, database analysis, design, data workflow, and visualization. Guide data strategy for ongoing requests and future opportunities. Provide leadership in the design, implementation, and maintenance of data systems and quality. Provide ongoing training, maintenance, monitoring, and promotion of data applications and reports. Skills Software Development (Python, JavaScript) Structured Query Language (SQL) Advanced Data Modeling & Design Data Visualization (Tableau, Power BI) Data Engineering Version Control & CI/CD Cloud Platforms (Databricks, Azure) Strategic Planning and Consulting

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications Advanced experience in visual solution design. Extensive experience in data engineering best practices, database design, data modeling, SQL optimization. Advanced experience with software development life cycle. Extensive experience with version control, agile methodologies. Advanced experience in developing, analyzing, and managing complex data sets to drive ROI. Experience creating and using APIs to integrate, automate, and extend tool capabilities. Extensive experience leading and implementing new initiatives, engaging stakeholders, and driving success. Applied use of web design principles and frameworks (Django, Flask, ReactJS, AngularJS, Bootstrap). Extensive experience with cloud platforms. Experience as a technical consultant through effective communication and relationship management. Experience using NoSQL databases for managing datasets or applications. Understanding and applied use of CI/CD principles. Experience mentoring junior team members and providing technical guidance.

Preferred Qualifications

Six years of professional experience in an analytics role and a Master’s Degree in an analytics-related field such as information systems, data science / analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics. or Eight years of professional experience in an analytics role and a Bachelor's Degree in an analytics-related field such as information systems, data science / analytics, statistics, computer science, mathematics. Improves processes and solutions through advanced technical and automated methods. Quickly learns and applies cutting-edge methodologies and tools creatively. Evaluates technical gaps/opportunities and implements new tools/technologies. Extends capabilities of existing tools/technologies to enhance analytics solutions. Enhances data and analytics skills, applications, and efficiencies through mentoring, education, and relationship management. Proactively contributes to and develops internal and external analytics partnerships. Provides consultative services on data and analytics initiatives, including strategy, technical feasibility, and implementation.
