Technical Writer (Policies, Procedures & Disclosures)

First Entertainment is looking for a seasoned Technical Writer who will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing policy, procedure, and member-facing disclosure documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with regulatory requirements under very tight timelines. The Technical Writer will partner with business, compliance, legal, and operations stakeholders to translate complex financial and regulatory concepts into clear, actionable, and consumer-friendly content. This is a temporary, full-time, remote-compatible opportunity and is expected to last at least 2 months, subject to extension. Candidates must reside within Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico, Ohio, Texas, and Washington to be considered. The target pay range for this position is $35–$42 per hour, depending on the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and location.

Responsibilities

Draft, edit, and maintain policies, procedures, and regulatory disclosures (e.g., member agreements, compliance notices, operational procedures). Ensure all documentation aligns with regulatory, legal, and internal governance standards (e.g., NCUA, CFPB, state/federal requirements). Translate complex regulatory and operational requirements into clear, concise, user-friendly language. Partner with compliance, legal, risk, and business units to gather requirements and validate accuracy. Conduct gap analysis and document reviews to identify outdated or inconsistent documentation. Manage document lifecycle including version control, approvals, updates, and publication. Support policy governance processes, including change management and communication. Maintain centralized repositories ensuring accessibility and audit readiness.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–7+ years of technical writing experience, preferably in financial services. Strong knowledge of banking regulations, compliance, and disclosure requirements. Excellent writing, editing, and document management skills. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office, SharePoint, and documentation tools. Experience in banking or credit union operations highly preferred. Familiarity with ERM, GRC, or policy governance frameworks. Exposure to consumer disclosures (e.g., Reg E, Reg Z, Truth-in-Savings) highly preferred. \n \n Apply To This Job
