Distribution Sourcing Analyst (Remote)

Job Description

Full-time remote: Because this role involves a combination of independent and collaborative work, this position can be conducted 100% remotely. Professional procurement / supply chain role in support of a Business Sector with over $6 billion in annual revenue and material spend in the hundreds of millions, procure materials, equipment, supplies and services of a highly-specialized and complex nature based on program-specific requirements and specifications from established supply chain partners in our Distribution portfolio. Develops purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions. Lead procurement activities and assigned commodities required for the sourcing of complex programs for materials and services. Will help develop, support and execute sourcing strategies based on existing and forecasted spend, demand and supply challenges and marketplace conditions, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Prepares/reviews proposals, develops evaluation criteria, selects or recommends suppliers, creates electronic purchase orders (ePO) files for review, prepares awards and administers resulting purchase orders. Negotiates additions, deletions, or modifications to purchase orders and resolves invoicing issues. Follow and execute to established and approved procurement policies and procedures in order to provide the best value consistent with quality and service requirements while maintaining good supplier relations. Responsible for Procurement Compliance and Cost/Price Analysis. This role emphasizes supplier engagement, management, development and production ramp-up in addition to negotiating and ensuring compliance to high value/complex procurements. A successful candidate must be able to be an effective communicator internally and externally, build mutually beneficial business relationships, willing to advance their knowledge of procurement compliance, and proactively adopt best practices and support new initiatives involving supplier quality and performance. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience Interest in gaining knowledge in buying across various commodities (electronics, mechanical, PWB’s, cables, optics…) in a Distribution-centric model Demonstrated ability to resolve contractual and performance issues with suppliers or equivalent experience Project / Supplier Management or applicable experience in an equivalent context Financial acumen in quoting, P&L, and operating margin Familiarity with Oracle purchasing system Established proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook) Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations and the nature of flow down requirementsKnowledge of ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulation) and EAR (Export Administration Regulation) Understanding/knowledge of CPSR audits and requirements. Comprehensive understanding of subcontractor solicitations and bid analysis/process. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills 2 or more years’ experience in operations, supply chain, or procurement Understanding of defense aerospace industry & regulations and the role of procurement within that context Working knowledge of how multifaceted electronics design & manufacturing environments operate or equivalent experience Desire for continuous improvement Work effectively in a remote team environment Generosity of thought and knowledge Moderate Technical Accumen (Ability to interpret drawing requirements, etc.) Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $67406 - $114590 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
