Our globally distributed network can solve problems at a scale that few others can. Make a Difference in a Critical Area of Our Business You will be building high-resiliency customer-facing systems. You will enhance our customers' experience in managing their international CDN presence and satisfying compliance requirements. You will work with internal teams to design, shape, and create innovative solutions for our customers. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for: Designing and developing highly scalable software that runs on the Akamai infrastructure Implementing new features, enhancing and optimizing existing features Contributing ideas and knowledge to process-improvement sessions to facilitate continuous improvement of our products Do what you love To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Have good programming skills and an interest in learning new technologies Display solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming concepts in Java or Python Possess familiarity with web development frameworks such as Angular, Django, Spring/Spring Boot Have exposure to relational databases such as Oracle DB or PostgreSQL Demonstrate basic knowledge of Linux operating system and command-line tools and have an understanding of Computer Networks (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.) Be familiar with RESTful APIs and service-oriented architecture concepts Work in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
