Key Responsibilities: As a Data Engineer 5 – Playback, your responsibilities will include: Data Pipeline Development & Optimization: Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance data pipelines for playback systems. Ensure data pipelines efficiently process large volumes of streaming and playback-related data. Optimize ETL processes and workflows for performance, reliability, and scalability. Data Architecture & Modeling: Design and implement data models to support playback analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and availability of data across systems. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Playback System Integration: Work closely with software engineering teams to integrate playback data pipelines with real-time and batch systems. Support streaming data ingestion, transformation, and storage for playback analytics. Implement best practices for data integrity, validation, and testing. Data Quality & Governance: Implement processes and monitoring to ensure data quality and integrity. Identify data discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement solutions. Maintain documentation of data pipelines, processes, and standards. Collaboration & Communication: Work with data scientists, product managers, and analytics teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights. Collaborate with software engineers to optimize data storage, retrieval, and playback performance. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Performance Monitoring & Troubleshooting: Monitor data pipelines and systems to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot issues quickly and implement solutions proactively. Continuously improve data systems for efficiency, reliability, and scalability. ✅ Requirements: We are looking for highly skilled candidates with a strong foundation in data engineering, playback systems, and cloud technologies. The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements: Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Extensive experience (5+ years) in data engineering, particularly with playback or streaming data systems. Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for building data pipelines and processing workflows. Data Tools & Technologies: Hands-on experience with SQL, NoSQL, Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Airflow, or similar data processing and orchestration tools. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud-based data solutions (AWS, GCP, Azure) and managed services for analytics and storage. Data Modeling & Analytics: Knowledge of data modeling, schema design, and analytics pipelines for large-scale systems. Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a proactive mindset. Remote Work Skills: Self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable collaborating across distributed teams. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with cross-functional teams. Additional Skills: Familiarity with playback systems, media streaming architecture, and content delivery pipelines is highly desirable.
