TypeScript Backend Developer Are you an experienced TypeScript Developer looking for your next big challenge? Join our Cloud crew and become a vital part of the team building the Public API for our core product – MapTiler Platform. In this role, you'll work closely on our critical cloud systems to ensure high performance, stability, and scalability. You will have a direct impact on a system that makes map integration seamless and highly reliable for developers and major companies worldwide.
What You Will Do
- Develop, maintain, and scale high-performance APIs for MapTiler Platform.
- Focus heavily on backend code quality, long-term system stability, and reliability.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure and serverless components for maximum performance.
- Backfill critical system capacities and ensure the resilience of our architecture.
- Write clean, well-documented code and comprehensive unit tests.
What We Expect From You
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript and modern backend development.
- Deep knowledge of both Node.js and web worker / serverless environments.
- Practical experience with network architectures and designing scalable backend systems.
- Good knowledge of modern web technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in software development.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- A team player who collaborates on a common outcome.
Nice To Have
- Experience with Docker and containerization.
- Experience with benchmarking and performance testing.
- Based in or near Brno (for optional face-to-face collaboration in our office).
- A passion for maps and an interest in GIS.
