The Pharmacy Customer Service Associate is the front‑line ambassador of arenaxflex’s pharmacy department. You will be the trusted point of contact for patients seeking medication advice, prescription fulfillment, and retail assistance. Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Interaction & Service Excellence: Greet every customer with a warm smile, offer assistance, and proactively identify needs to deliver a distinctive and delightful experience.
  • Cash Register Operations: Accurately register sales, handle cash, credit, and electronic transactions, process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges while maintaining a fast checkout flow.
  • Prescription Processing: Under direct supervision of the pharmacist, use arenaxflex pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, enter data correctly, and fill prescriptions by counting, pouring, and verifying medication.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Follow state and federal regulations, adhere to the arenaxflex Pharmacy Code of Conduct, and report any prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist on duty.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with ordering, receiving, checking, and storing pharmaceutical shipments; conduct regular stock rotation using the first‑in‑first‑out method; and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Product Knowledge & Suggestive Selling: Recommend over‑the‑counter (OTC) items, trade‑up products, and companion merchandise; guide customers to appropriate aisles and help locate items.
  • Administrative Support: Handle non‑clinical telephone calls, process third‑party claims, and perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, and documentation as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager.
  • Store Maintenance & Visual Merchandising: Keep counters and shelves clean, well‑merchandised, and organized; construct and maintain promotional displays, seasonal setups, and sale signage.
  • Photo Services & Web Pick‑Up: Provide customer service in the photo area, operate digital passport photo stations, suggest promotional photo products, and manage online order pick‑up for Picture Care Plus.
  • Team Collaboration: Share best practices with teammates, model arenaxflex service traits, and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers across all departments.
  • Continuous Learning: Earn and maintain PTCB certification, attend required training sessions, and stay current on pharmacy best practices, healthcare news, and regulatory updates.

Essential Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; additional education in health‑related fields is a plus.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PTCB certification within the designated timeframe.
  • Strong mathematical skills for cash handling and medication counting.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities; a friendly, patient‑focused demeanor.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort using pharmacy software and point‑of‑sale systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain accuracy under pressure.
