Job Description Trademark Prosecution Paralegal (Hybrid - NYC) Position Type: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Salary Range: $105,000 - $140,000 / year (Dependent on experience) About the Opportunity An established, premier full-service commercial law firm with a national footprint is seeking a highly skilled Trademark Prosecution Paralegal to join their sophisticated Intellectual Property team in New York City. Key Responsibilities

Working directly with a talented team of attorneys, you will provide comprehensive legal support across domestic and international trademark portfolios. Clean execution, proactive docket management, and top-tier client communication are central to this role. USPTO Filings: Prepare and file U.S. trademark applications, office action responses, statements of use, extensions, renewals, declarations, and assignments ensuring strict compliance with all procedural requirements. Docket & Deadline Management: Independently maintain, update, and monitor a high-volume trademark docket; flag upcoming deadlines and proactively drive solutions. International Portfolio Support: Coordinate with foreign counsel on international applications, renewals, oppositions, cancellations, and Madrid Protocol/WIPO filings. Clearance & Searches: Conduct preliminary trademark clearance and registrability searches, coordinate comprehensive searches, and draft preliminary report recommendations. Client & Attorney Advisory: Draft status reports, docket summaries, and portfolio overviews for client-facing updates; send timely reminders regarding critical deadlines. TTAB & Corporate Support: Assist with TTAB proceedings (docketing, routine filings, evidence collection) and support corporate due diligence/licensing transactions (chain-of-title reviews). Copyrights: Handle the preparation and filing of copyright registration applications. What You Bring (Qualifications) Experience: 7+ years of dedicated trademark prosecution experience gained within a law firm environment. Technical Mastery: Deep working knowledge of USPTO procedures, TEAS filings, prosecution timelines, and TTAB practices. Software Savvy: High proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and standard legal document management/IP docketing systems. Precision & Drive: Extraordinary attention to detail, excellent judgment, and the ability to multitask effectively under pressure without compromising on quality. Credentials: Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, and/or a formal Paralegal Certificate required. Licensing: Active Notary Public license (or the willingness to obtain one within the first 6 months of hire). Flexibility: A collaborative team-player mindset with a willingness to work overtime when workload demands require it.
