[Remote] Program/Data Analyst Advisor

General Dynamics Information Technology is a global technology and professional services company that delivers consulting, technology, and mission services to every major agency across the U.S. government. They are seeking a Principal Program/Data Analyst to support data collection and analysis efforts for a government program, enhancing reporting and analytics capabilities while coordinating data collection efforts.
Responsibilities
- Work within federal staff led functional lanes to enhance the collection and analysis of program data
- Update and develop on-site data collection tools and processes to yield statistically reliable and informative data and support field program assessments
- Assist in identifying performance outcomes and indicators
- Identify uniform data points and conduct high-level data interpretation/analysis using a data analytics platform
- Prepare written summaries and presentations that reflect the results of the data analysis and present findings to agency leadership
- Oversee the quality and the production of both routine and ad hoc analytical reports
- Assist in the training of contractor and field staff on the use of data collection and analysis tools
- Support with projects that promote the continual improvement of data analysis
- Compile, analyze, and visualize data using a data visualization platform such as Power BI or Tableau
- Build data repositories/databases and provide ad-hoc data reporting as needed
Skills
- 8 + years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree in data science, data analytics, or similar degree with at least 7-8 years of experience conducting quantitative and qualitative data interpretation and analysis
- High degree of familiarity working with sensitive-PII and integrity in protecting customer data
- Working knowledge of data visualization platforms (Tableau or Power BI) and scripting languages (R, Python)
- Working knowledge of SQL and familiarity with relational databases
- Advanced skills in Excel and VBA
- Exceptional analytical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as strong attention to detail
- This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Master's degree
- Experience working with immigrants, refugees, and underserved populations
- Statistical analysis and modeling
- Natural language processing
- Experience with quantitative and qualitative data analysis
- Data engineering and experience working with large datasets, performing tasks such as data cleaning and processing (ETL)
- Solid knowledge of SQL including CTE's
- Python and/or R
- Tableau
- Palantir
- Linux and ability to maintain a Linux server
