[Remote] VP Secondary Marketing - Hedging and Analytics

They are seeking a seasoned VP of Secondary Marketing - Hedging & Analytics to lead a team of analysts in managing pipeline and MSR hedging strategies, maintaining risk management frameworks, and running analytics to optimize profitability.
Responsibilities
- Own the interest rate risk of the mortgage pipeline. You will lead all hedging, trading, and loan sale activities to protect and enhance corporate margins
- Oversee diverse loan sale channels, including Agency whole loan cash sales, the issuance of Fannie/Freddie/Ginnie securities, co-issue transactions, and bulk correspondent sales
- Conduct rigorous "best execution" analysis to maximize gain-on-sale. You will execute mandatory commitments with investors and strategically allocate loans into optimized pools
- Configure and manage secondary marketing systems, including investor pricing valuations, risk adjustments, and pull-through analysis
- Recruits, mentors, and manages a specialized team. You will be responsible for performance evaluations, professional development, and fostering a culture of accountability and "can-do" spirit
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives, including new product development and operational process improvements. Provide ad-hoc high-level reporting to the executive team
Skills
- 10+ years of mortgage banking experience, specifically within Secondary Marketing
- Proven experience issuing Fannie, Freddie, and Ginnie securities
- Deep familiarity with trading and hedging techniques
- Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel/Access), SQL, Visual Basic, and secondary marketing risk management systems
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to organize complex workflows to yield maximum efficiency
