About arenaflex: Where Passion for Pets Meets World-Class Service

At arenaflex, we are revolutionizing the way pet parents shop for their beloved companions. As one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing e-commerce retailers in the pet industry, arenaflex has built a reputation for delivering exceptional customer experiences that go far beyond simple transactions. We believe that every interaction is an opportunity to create lasting relationships with the pet parents and partners who trust us with their needs. Our award-winning customer service organization is the heart of that mission, and we are now seeking dedicated, full-time Customer Service Representatives to join our distributed team in Texas.

If you have an infectious personality, a genuine desire to engage in meaningful conversations, and a commitment to helping others, this might be the perfect role for you. We are not looking for order-takers or script-readers. We are searching for empathetic problem-solvers who can engage with customers on the phone, think critically in the moment, and demonstrate a passion for genuinely helping people. Having a love for pets is an added bonus, but the desire to deliver outstanding service is essential.

Position Overview: Remote Customer Service Representative

As a Remote Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will be a vital member of our customer experience team, working from the comfort of your home while serving pet parents across the country. This is a full-time position based in Texas, offering a starting wage of $15.50 per hour, along with abundant opportunities to learn, develop new skills, and advance your career in a thriving remote-first environment. You must reside within the state of Texas to be eligible for this role.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do Every Day

  • Engage directly with customers who contact arenaflex for a wide variety of topics, ranging from helping them shop for a new pet, locating the perfect chew toy, or troubleshooting issues when something does not go as planned.
  • Research and problem-solve to determine appropriate solutions for customers, thinking proactively and setting follow-ups as needed to ensure complete contact resolution.
  • Operate with understanding, utilizing active listening, patience, empathy, and kindness when interacting with customers and team members alike.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn in a feedback-rich environment where we share insights, receive constructive input, and maintain a culture of being open-minded to continuous growth.
  • Engage with teammates, your direct Manager, and other team members across many levels of the organization using virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom, Slack, and webcams to contribute to an infectious, customer-centric culture of collaboration.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, transactions, and follow-up actions in our internal systems.
  • Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, policies, and procedures to provide the most accurate and helpful information to customers.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the customer experience and share those ideas with leadership and cross-functional partners.

Essential Qualifications: What You'll Need to Succeed

  • A minimum of two years of customer service experience in a professional setting, preferably in a contact center, retail, or e-commerce environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong active listening abilities. You will be asked to complete a written assessment as part of the application process.
  • Proven ability to multi-task effectively, such as maintaining a conversation on the phone while navigating systems on the computer and taking accurate notes.
  • Proficiency in using computers, including data entry skills and the ability to rapidly navigate through multiple systems and the internet to find information that helps support customers.
  • Ability to adapt to change with the evolving business needs of the company and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to shift schedules and work overtime as needed by the business unit, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and securely handle sensitive customer information.
