The Principal Member of Technical Staff Cybersecurity Developer will be responsible for the expert creation and delivery of relevant software code in a manner that is enhancing or sustaining for Security Platforms while remaining consistent with AT&T/industry development and security best practices. Key Roles and Responsibilities: • Responsible for the entire lifecycle of assigned projects or features including autonomous development and contributing to the engineering... requirements with a duty to ensure that security, reliability, and performance standards are met. • Work with team members and adjacent teams on development, platform, and system test related tasks. • Resolve complex development issues and drive platform innovation. • Serve as the technical escalation point and mentor for lower-level developers and adjacent teams. • Generate reports. create release notes documentation, contribute to team metrics. Education: Candidates must meet 1 of the criteria below: • PhD in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience • Masters in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience • Bachelors in an approved field from an approved university with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. Additional Requirements: • Demonstrated advanced experience working with an object-oriented programming language (Python) and associated technologies (eg. Spring/JMX/JDBC) • 5+ years of experience in the Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies (HBase, Hive 3, HDFS, Spark) • Knowledge of modern development methodologies and tools (Jenkins/Maven/Jira). • Familiarity with agile methodologies, e.g. SCRUM • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and communication skills • Requires Daily Office Presence (3-5 days a week) at one of the listed locations. No relocation assistance is provided. Preferred Qualifications: • Solid understanding of Linux Operating system, Shell scripting, OS troubleshooting • Knowledge of/about well-known networking protocols and services (FTP, HTTP, SSH, SMB, LDAP, etc.) • Experience working with open-source software/community. • Basic understanding of Cloud architecture & technologies • Ability to provide on-the-job training and knowledge sharing to other developers. Our Principal Member of Technical Staff earns between $160,900 - $270,400- USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
