Overview: We are seeking dedicated and compassionate California Homeschool Advocates to help support our new families in their educational journey as home-learners with enrollment in our satellite program and guidance in home-learning curriculum. This job is designed for busy parents who currently homeschool and may not have regular hours they can dedicate to a 9-5 job. Qualified candidates... currently live in and actively homeschool in California. As a California Homeschool Advocate, you will be responsible for providing guidance and emotional support to families new to the homeschool lifestyle. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for home-learning, a commitment to family values, and a need for supplemental income. Duties: - Provide guidance and emotional support to families new to homeschooling, assisting them with enrollment in the BLC private school satellite program and familiarizing them with the BLC custom curriculum. - Connect new families with BLC classes and workshops and local homeschool community - Facilitate connections between homeschooling families and local homeschool groups, organizations and resources, including BLC classes, workshops and events. - Assist with crisis intervention and conflict management for homeschooling families in need of support. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of California homeschooling laws, regulations, and policies. - Invite new families to new classes and workshops on homeschool groups by posting to homeschool groups and social media Requirements: - Experience in homeschooling in California. - Strong understanding of California homeschooling laws, regulations, and policies. - Experience and knowledge of home-learning methods and styles, including the unschooling concept. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
