Role Overview: As a Senior Backend Developer (Python/Django), you will be a key player in building and enhancing the backend systems that power our innovative platform. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and efficient backend services using Python and Django. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that support our mission. APIs using Python and Django. • Build scalable, secure, and high-performance systems that support various platform functionalities. • Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic. • Optimize backend processes for maximum performance and efficiency, ensuring a smooth user experience. • Implement and maintain data storage solutions, including relational databases and caching mechanisms. • Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to promote best practices and code quality. • Troubleshoot and resolve backend issues, ensuring system reliability and stability. • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve the backend architecture and stack. Required Skills: • Extensive experience with Python and its libraries and frameworks. • Strong experience in building and maintaining backend applications using Django, including RESTful API development and database integration. • Proficiency in working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and MySQL, and experience with database design, optimization, and query performance tuning. • Experience in designing and developing scalable and secure RESTful APIs and integrating third-party APIs. • Proficiency in Git and collaborative workflows, including pull requests and code reviews. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to resolving technical issues. • Knowledge of web application security principles and experience implementing secure coding practices. • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including deploying and managing applications. • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes. • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing frameworks. • Experience with asynchronous programming and frameworks such as Celery or asyncio. • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies. Educational Qualifications: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
