edix's Texas-based client is looking for Medical Data Entry Specialist/Billing Clerks! Apply if qualified and interested! • Position: Billing Clerk/Data Entry Specialist • Dallas - Fort Worth candidates only in case there are quarterly or annual mandatory in-person meetings in Mckinney... • Environment: Remote • Duration: 5 month contract to hire position • $19.00 an hour • Start Date: TBD (Ideal is 9/23, if not 9/30 or 10/7) • Equipment: Provided Qualifications • Great references from past employers and strong tenure • At least 1 years Medical experience • Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. • Knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and familiarity with various payer guidelines. • Team works a lot with Medicaid. Must have experience here • High School Diploma or GED required. Day to day • Entry level billing of claims • Accurate data entry of information into the computer system • Verify patient information in system • Checking payer portals for claims status • Resubmitting of claims • Follow appropriate HIPAA guidelines provide medical records to primary care provider, insurance carriers, referred providers and patients per patient request • Team-oriented tasks that including assisting coworkers when needed, reaching team goals, meeting deadlines, and being an overall team player!
