We are looking for early design hires who will help lay the foundation for our design team and company as a whole. As a product designer at Gatsby, you’ll be instrumental in shaping the future of the product and business. We are looking for someone who is comfortable with ambiguity, loves working in a fast-paced environment, and is excited to collaborate closely with the product and engineering... teams. As a product builder, you will advocate for the user and iterate quickly with our first-rate engineering team, pushing for a high standard of visual and interaction design. You will help to solve complex problems spanning the needs of executive teams, admins, and high-value relationships. What you will do • Own design problems end to end, from initial concept to research, shipping, and beyond. • Use journey maps, user flows, and system diagrams to think and communicate ideas that impact the end-to-end experience. • Craft beautiful web and mobile designs that connect the dots between user needs, data, and business goals. • Help build, lead, and mentor the product and design teams. • Spearhead user research leveraging ethnographic/data-driven approaches. • Obsess over the details of visual design and user experience. • Identify future opportunities and contribute to strategy as a key member of the team. • Partner with engineers to ship pixel-perfect designs. • Explore new technologies in order to elevate product experiences. • Assist in hiring future designers that our team (you included) would love to build with. Qualifications • 5+ years of product design experience. • 2+ years of experience working within an “in-house” product team, owning the evolution of an existing product (startup experience preferred). • Experience designing workflows and B2B products. • Strong visual aesthetic with experience delivering polished, thoughtful work. • Strong conceptual thinking and experience leading process from concept to launch. • An outstanding portfolio, showcasing your strength in idea generation, interaction, and visual design. Bonus Points For • Acted as a product manager on projects, shaping business strategy, creating and managing roadmaps, and translating designs into engineering stories. • Have programming experience in React, Swift, ObjC, Java, Kotlin. #J-18808-Ljbffr Apply Job!
