Job Description
Forbes Health is looking for a staff writer to support our current editorial team as we continue to grow and scale our health contentspecifically writing new content in key categories and updating existing content to ensure that its timely, accurate and engaging to readers. The ideal candidate is experienced in health and wellness journalism and is a quick learner with a keen attention to detail and passion for providing readers with evidence-based health information to help them make smart wellness decisions. Specifically, this role focuses on updating existing content, writing data-driven projects that highlight the best health and wellness products in the space, writing first-person reviews of health products, and ideating and writing articles using proprietary survey and study data. The ideal candidate has experience in health and wellness reporting and writing, has experience using SEO best practices when creating content and feels comfortable trying and reviewing new health and wellness products. Responsibilities: Write new content for Forbes Health, particularly data-based rankings of the best products in the health and wellness space, first-person reviews and reports on survey and study findings Execute updates for Forbes Health existing content to ensure relevance and accuracy Develop and write Best Of articles and content, testing and reviewing the top products in the health and wellness space Update articles for freshness and accuracy Ideate and execute product and service reviews Pitch and write the research-based content related to health and wellness trends Research health and wellness topics, writing in-depth descriptions of our testing processes Serve as a media spokesperson as needed Requirements: Minimum of 3 years of experience covering health and wellness topics Demonstrated knowledge of and success with SEO writing and best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Comfortable working with data methodologies and quantitative metrics Experience with working in WordPress and Google Workspace Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and strong time management skills Benefits: Competitive compensation package Ability to work remotely Unlimited PTO Every third Friday of the month off Winter break closure; the week between Christmas and New Years Home office setup Wellness reimbursement Additional Information Forbes Marketplace provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
