Online English Tutor: Teaching Adults (Degree Required, Flexible Working Hours)
We are hiring English Tutors! We are looking for English tutors who reside in South Africa to join our team and make a difference in global education. - Flexible schedule able to be booked up to three weeks in advance with guaranteed classes.
- Your classes once booked are guaranteed and fully remunerated, meaning that even if no students come to class you still get paid your teaching rate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide adult students in understanding the English language whilst delivering lessons based on conversation-styled, pre-set lesson plans.
- Engage and encourage students positively in their English language learning journey.
- Provide students with constructive feedback during and after class through the use of error correction techniques.
- Manage a small group of students and provide a supportive environment for constructive conversation.
Minimum requirements:
- A degree in any field is required
- A 120-hour TEFL/TESOL certificate is required
- Great command of the English language (accent neutral)
- Computer literate and able to troubleshoot
Technical Requirements: Internet Connection:
- A stable FIBRE internet connection - at a minimum of 25 Mbps upload and download speeds
- PC is connected via a LAN cable and not via a Wi-Fi connection

- Processor: Intel ® Core™ i5 Six Generation Processor
- Quad Core CPU
- Memory: 8GB RAM or greater
Backup power system:
- Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS)/ Portable Power Staton with a battery life of up to 4-5 hours (2000VA / 300 WH).
- A separate mini power supply system to power your fibre router as an independent system.
Other:
- Noise-cancelling headsets and HD web camera.
- Back-up headset is highly recommended
- Tidy, well-lit, and quiet teaching environment
