What To Expect (Job Responsibilities) • Verify patient identities and maintain accurate patient records. • Process requests for the release of medical information in compliance with legal and regulatory standards. • Collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and external entities to safeguard patient privacy. • Ensure proper handling of sensitive information in accordance with HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws. • Provide coverage for all Health Information Management departments as needed. What Is Required (Qualifications) • High School Diploma or Equivalent required. • Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare, particularly in acute care or related certification. • Proficiency in health information systems and electronic health record (EHR) software. • Strong communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills. • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and other relevant privacy laws.
