Job Overview We are a premier manufacturer of high-quality raw pet food, seeking a dedicated Buyer to become an integral part of our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will ensure our beloved pets receive the finest ingredients available. Key Responsibilities • Identify and procure essential raw materials for our premium pet food recipes, including meat, poultry, vitamins, and packaging. • Cultivate robust relationships with suppliers to guarantee timely deliveries and optimal pricing. Attendance at industry conferences will be a part of this relationship-building. • Uphold stringent quality standards by verifying that all ingredients meet our high expectations. • Accurately generate and manage purchase orders to facilitate seamless production processes. • Collaborate effectively with production, quality assurance, and finance teams to maintain operational harmony. • Analyze procurement data to uncover trends, enhance cost efficiency, and improve purchasing strategies. • Ensure compliance with all regulations governing our procurement practices. Required Skills • A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline. • Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, or inventory management, preferably within the food manufacturing sector. • Strong negotiation skills to secure advantageous contracts with suppliers. • Familiarity with inventory management systems and ERP software is advantageous. • Excellent communication and interpersonal capabilities to foster effective collaboration. • A detail-oriented mindset coupled with a commitment to quality excellence. • Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced working environment.
