About the position This position is for a Certified Special Education Teacher for a part-time tutoring role at Club Z! In-Home Tutoring Services, located in Downers Grove, IL. The role requires providing non-classroom instruction to students in-person, focusing on their individual educational needs. As a tutor, you will be responsible for managing and educating students in a non-traditional setting, which allows for a more personalized approach to learning. You will design and implement lesson plans tailored to varying academic levels, ensuring that each student receives the support they need to succeed academically. In this role, you will establish academic goals and milestones with your students, helping them to track their progress and stay motivated. Documenting and communicating progress reports is essential, as it allows both you and the students to understand their development over time. Providing constructive feedback is a key part of the tutoring process, as it helps students to identify areas for improvement and reinforces their learning. You will also review and assign homework as necessary, facilitating tutoring sessions for the prescribed subjects at the agreed time and location. The position requires a commitment to maintaining a flexible schedule, as you will need to accommodate the availability of your students. Morning and afternoon availability is required, with evening hours being a plus.
