Sr. Quality Assurance Test Engineer

• Contract to Hire • At least 8 years of extensive professional hands-on experience in Quality Assurance • At least 5 years of extensive professional experience with automated testing tools and equivalent automation development skills with one or more scripting languages (JavaScript) • Occasional in office presence might be required - Chicago, IL This position will require 50/50 effort in manual and automation testing. As a motivated and self-driven member of the Technology organization, the Quality Assurance Test Engineer will be responsible for assuring consistent, high quality testing standards are utilized on all products and systems within applications portfolio. Primary responsibility of the test engineer is manual planning, test execution and process improvement. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of Playwright/JavaScript Automated Framework and test cases. Work with QA and Development to drive and improve delivery processes. Position Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related area. • At least 8 years of professional experience on a variety of projects in Test Strategy, Test Design, Test Execution analysis & reporting. • Experience designing test strategies and end-to-end test scenarios and estimating test efforts. • Hands-on experience with Automated Testing tools building framework and automated scripts using automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, etc. is a must. required. • Experience in Java or JavaScript is a must • Strong understanding of software QE concepts, recommended practices, and methodology that cover functional testing, integration testing, regression testing and UAT. • Ability to manage multiple test events and projects at a time. • Demonstrated experience working with offshore resources. • Strong hands-on experience in Agile (Scrum) and Waterfall methodologies. • Hands-on experience with Jira, ALM, TFS/ADO or similar systems of record. • API testing tools & automation (Rest-Assured, SoapUI, Postman, SOAtest or CA LISA etc.) experience is strongly preferred. • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Bitbucket is preferred. • Hands-on experience using SQL queries for results validation and data mining. • Strong ability to troubleshoot issues, identifying root causes and support development team in development of resolutions.
