Remote Therapist/Mental Health Counselor

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Counselor/Therapist (LPC or LCSW) to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will provide high-quality therapeutic support to individuals, couples, and families experiencing diverse mental health issues. Your expertise will guide clients through evidence-based treatment approaches aimed at enhancing their psychological well-being. Key Responsibilities • Perform comprehensive initial assessments to identify client needs and challenges. • Develop and implement customized treatment plans that align with client objectives and adhere to best practices. • Offer individual, couples, and family therapy utilizing a variety of evidence-based modalities. • Maintain accurate documentation of client progress in accordance with clinical and ethical guidelines. • Ensure confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professionalism in all client interactions. • Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, including other mental health and medical professionals, to provide holistic care. • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including supervision and training, to refine your clinical skills. • Remain informed about the latest research and developments in mental health counseling, integrating new insights into your practice. • Provide crisis intervention and immediate support as required. • Foster a welcoming and supportive environment that encourages clients in their healing journeys. • Engage in community outreach initiatives to promote mental health awareness. Required Skills • Proficiency in various therapeutic techniques, such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness. • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, facilitating trust and rapport with clients. • Capacity to work collaboratively within a diverse team environment. • Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation protocols is advantageous. • Commitment to cultural competence and sensitivity. Qualifications • Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related field from an accredited institution. • Active licensure as an LPC or LCSW in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain). • A minimum of 3 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
