Job Summary: As a Distribution Center Picker Packer at DHL, you will be integral to our operations by ensuring accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders within the distribution center. Your role will involve precise picking, packing, and preparation of products for shipment, emphasizing adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities: Order Fulfillment: ? Efficiently pick customer orders using pick sheets or handheld devices from designated storage areas. ? Verify the correct quantity and type of products according to order specifications. Packing and Shipping: ? Pack picked products securely and neatly, following company packaging guidelines to ensure safe transit. ? Accurately prepare shipping labels and documentation using computer systems. Inventory Control: ? Assist in maintaining precise inventory records through regular cycle counts and stock checks. ? Immediately report any discrepancies or inventory issues to supervisors. Safety and Cleanliness: ? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by adhering to cleanliness and safety protocols. ? Safely operate non-powered material handling equipment following training and guidelines. Team Collaboration: ? Collaborate effectively with team members and other departments, such as inbound and outbound logistics, to optimize warehouse operations. ? Communicate workload status, issues, and suggestions for process improvements to supervisors. Skills and Qualifications: ? High school diploma or equivalent. ? Prior experience in warehouse operations or order fulfillment preferred. ? Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as Red Prairie, Blue Yonder, Manhattan, or SAP is advantageous. ? Proficiency in using computers for order processing, label creation, and inventory management. ? Strong attention to detail and accuracy in picking, packing, and labeling products. ? Physical capability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry heavy objects (50-75 pounds), and perform repetitive tasks. Why Join DHL? ?
