Role Description

The Global Business Development team is a dynamic, innovative, and strategic team within the Autodesk worldwide sales organization, focused on fueling growth with the company’s largest, enterprise customers and scaling growth with the ecosystems of our customers.

The Senior Business Development Executive is a strategic role in the sales organization that directly interfaces with large Architecture, Engineering and Construction customers and their ecosystem supply chains consisting of both Public and Private asset owners, Governments, Industry Associations and the downstream supply chain.

  • Develop, execute and manage ecosystem strategic programs to influence the customers of our customers, and the supply chains of our customers
  • Influence customer business initiatives and decision-makers through actionable thought leadership
  • Develop essential and effective relationships with executive-level / senior-level AEC customers and personas
  • Translate customer business initiatives, challenges, and opportunities into unique business value for Autodesk
  • Perform as the "Thought Leader" for the transportation industry
  • Drive strategic imperatives to maximize the impact of Autodesk customers on the entire industry ecosystem
  • Assist Autodesk teams in achieving growth and revenue targets with existing and new customers
  • Work closely with Industry Strategy and Product teams and provide information valuable to their strategy
  • Influence decision makers in the transportation ecosystem
  • Drive adoption and growth of Autodesk solutions within this ecosystem
  • Represent Autodesk in relevant industry associations

Qualifications

  • 10+ years’ experience working in the AECO industry + sales or business development experience
  • Specific civil/transportation experience is desired
  • Government and public sector experience a plus
  • Strong project and engagement management skills with a demonstrable history of effective projects
  • Previous experience working with industry associations, holding positions of influence in an association preferred
  • Credible and experienced with business & technology trends in Transportation
  • Experienced with, and able to present digital transformation and platform use cases
  • A proven track record in attaining results as part of a team

  • Ability to impact the decisions of Executive personas within an organization
  • Develops and drives areas of business growth at all levels from our customers to their eco-systems
  • Knowledge of an organization's industry group, economic & technology, challenges, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters
  • Develops and drives new ideas, technology and initiatives that improve an organization's performance
  • Knowledge of business concepts to enable sound decisions and business change in the context of our customer’s business outcomes and Autodesk growth
