DY Concrete Pumps of Alvarado, Texas, is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Marketing Intern to take ownership of our social media channels and support the marketing department's growth. This role requires proficiency in photography, video editing, content creation, and writing engaging captions. We have exciting ideas and strategies—your role is to organize, execute, and enhance our online presence. Key Responsibilities: Content Creation & Scheduling:

  • Create compelling posts, including photos, short-form videos, and graphics highlighting our products, team, and customer successes.
  • Maintain and manage the social media schedule via Social Pilot to ensure consistent posting across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok).

Community Engagement:

  • Actively engage with our online audience with likes, comments, and shares to build brand awareness and community.
  • Respond to social media messages and comments professionally and promptly.

Performance Analysis:

  • Monitor social media analytics regularly and provide monthly reports detailing engagement metrics and growth.
  • Suggest improvements based on data-driven insights to enhance our social media performance.

Media Vault Management:

  • Categorize, catalog, and keyword media assets, maintaining a well-organized digital content library.

Skills Needed:

  • Proven experience creating engaging content for social media (personal projects, school clubs, or professional work).
  • Passionate about creating cool, visually compelling content; construction or heavy equipment knowledge not required.
  • Familiarity with social media scheduling tools (Social Pilot or similar platforms).
  • Proficiency with Adobe products (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom preferred).
  • Photography and videography skills are highly desirable (camera gear not required but preferred).
  • Strong writing skills; ability to capture our brand voice in concise, impactful captions.
  • Self-starter with the initiative to generate ideas and independently execute them.

Education & Experience:

  • Current high school senior, college student, or recent graduate studying Marketing, Communications, Advertising, or related fields preferred.
  • Professional portfolio or examples of previous creative work required.

Schedule:

  • Flexible schedule (20-40 hours/week), accommodating summer availability with potential transition to full-time hours.
  • Monday-Friday, in-office; hours negotiable based upon candidate availability.
