Candidate must reside in DFW area As the Manager, Internal Communications, you will manage the development and implementation of the company’s internal communications strategy, as well as oversee tactics, channels and tools required to increase employee engagement and drive business results across our Americas and Asia Pacific business. What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Work closely with HR to plan, develop, and implement communications initiatives that support our people strategy; employee engagement and support are top priorities
  • Help maintain communications channels to reach employees with important information; be part of the team that develops and drives messaging frameworks that engage and inspire
  • Determine ongoing needs and develop strategies and plans to address those needs through a variety of methods and touch points
  • Implement reporting mechanisms for sharing measurements around success and areas of improvement
  • Manage editorial calendar and content on business channels, while balancing input from key internal stakeholders across our regions
  • Assist business unit leaders driving change and transformation with messaging support and access to internal communication channels where required

What you need to succeed at GXO: At a minimum, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent related work or military experience
  • 5 years of experience with internal employee communications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Superior writing, editing and communication skills
  • Internal communications expertise, able to identify the most appropriate and effective internal communications techniques for use according to our objectives

It’d be great if you also have:

  • Meaningful experience with employee engagement and HR communications
  • Knowledge of style guides, such as Chicago Style or Associated Press Style
  • A penchant for storytelling and shining a light on unsung heroes within an organization
  • Multi-media background, or at least the ability to help make smart edits in video, audio, etc.
  • Good executive presence and confidence to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the business.
